STEP 1
The first step is to contact Dr. Wochos to schedule a free 20-minute initial phone consultation to determine whether a neuropsychological assessment is appropriate for you or your child.
STEP 2
If an assessment is deemed appropriate based on the presenting concerns, Dr. Wochos will schedule a virtual telehealth interview with the client (or primary caregiver if the client is a child) to review relevant background information and history (e.g., birth history, medical history, developmental history, school functioning, etc.) and discuss the presenting concerns.
Standardized rating scales may also be sent out to the client and/or collateral contacts (e.g., parent/guardian, teacher), as needed
STEP 3
Dr. Wochos will meet with the client one-on-one over the course of 1-2 days (typically 9am – 2:30pm) to administer standardized tests of neuropsychological functioning. The length of the testing session(s) can vary depending on the age of the client, and breaks will be built in throughout the day as needed. A parent/legal guardian should plan to remain on site during the testing session(s) if the client is a minor.
STEP 4
A virtual feedback session with the client (or parents/legal guardians if the client is a minor) will be scheduled approximately 1 week after the testing session(s) has been completed to review the test results and to discuss treatment recommendations.
STEP 5
A neuropsychological evaluation report will be electronically sent to the client (or parents/legal guardian) approximately 2-3 weeks after the feedback session.
